• Extension of Traffic Directorate of Ministry of Railways 

 

• Headed by ED - Executive Director rank Officer 

 

• Location:  Sena Bhawan, Army Headquarters, New Delhi 

 

• Responsible for: Overall coordination, strategic planning & execution of Railway logistics support to the Defence Forces during Peace as well as Emergency situations 

 

• Works in close coordination with the Ministry of Defence for their Railway operations. 

 

• Separate Control Room - headed by a Chief Controller.
