Originating Freight Target - Indian Railways - 2022-23



  • FY 2022-23  -Target - 1700 Million Tonnes  

 

  • Approx 5 MT per day - Ambitious target fixed by Indian Railways (4.65 MT per Day)

 

  • FY2023-24 - Target 2024 Million Tonnes  (as per Vision 2024 document - click here)

 

  • Coinciding the Year 2024 with target 2024 MT

  • The target for Indian Railways   - modal share of 45 % of Total Freight Traffic by the Year 2030  as per NITI Aayog  ( At present the modal share is 27 % only)  

 

  • So, Vision 2024 projects the Originating Freight target for the year 2024 is 2024 MT.
