The oldest working Fund in Indian Railways is
DRF – Depreciation Reserve Fund. It started existing w.e.f 01.04.1924

The predecessor to DRF
is “Programme Revenue”. The expenditure chargeable
till 31.03.1924 was then shown under DRF
from 01.04.1924.
