Clarification on Labour Laws & Labour Codes
The Government has consolidated 29 Labour Laws into 4 Labour Codes:
1. Code on Wages, 2019
2. Industrial Relations Code, 2020
3. Code on Social Security, 2020
4. Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions Code, 2020
Important for Railway Examinations: Wherever the syllabus refers to the erstwhile Labour Acts/Laws, the relevant provisions of these four Labour Codes may be read in their place, as applicable.
