Role and Duties of Staff and Welfare Inspector
Link between Railway employees and Administration
Visit workplaces; note and pursue staff grievances
Explain Railway welfare schemes
Help in obtaining wages, allowances and settlement dues
Assist families of deceased employees with settlement dues and compassionate appointment
Inspect offices and verify staff records and grievance registers
Supervise welfare facilities; suggest improvements
Inspect Railway colonies; ensure cleanliness and maintenance
Help employees and families obtain medical care
Promote cultural, recreational, sports, Scouts and Women’s Welfare activities
Organise employees’ and children’s camps
Inspect workshops for compliance with the Labour Laws
Accompany Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) and Personnel Officers during inspections
Perform other duties relating to staff matters
